Politics is never just Politics.
What we wear, how we live, what we consume and the conversations we choose to have are all shaped by the world around us. For women especially, politics is woven into everyday life.
through fashion, identity, wellness, work, freedom and the trends that define a generation. We explore that crossover, bringing together politically informed thinking with lifestyle, fashion, culture and the ideas worth paying attention to. Because today, the most expensive asset isn’t what you own.
It’s what you know.
SUITZ
An independent publication documenting British politics, fashion and culture.
Suitz manifesto
-
Politics shouldn't require a degree to understand. Culture shouldn't pretend politics doesn't exist.
It’s in what we wear, the music we listen to, the places we go and the things we argue about. But there’s a lot of Britain that gets lost somewhere between political reporting and the pages of a fashion magazine.
That's where Suitz comes in.
-
We publish the things that capture Britain here and now.
That might be an article about the politics behind a specific fashion trend, photographs of a neighbourhood that’s changing, a look at nightlife in your home town, a fashion piece, a standard article, or even an archive of things people might otherwise overlook.
There isn’t one format a Suitz piece has to follow. What matters is that there is something behind it.
-
You don’t need to be an established writer or photographer to contribute to Suitz.
We want to begin publishing people who are curious about what’s around them. Writers, photographers, designers, artists or anyone who jas something interesting to show or say.
Start with what you know. Pay attention to what’s around you. There’s probably a story in it.
The world through your eyes
Suitz is a new lens on young Britain. Publishing politics without the Westminster bubble, fashion beyond the runway, and creative work from the people shaping what comes next. From what we wear to what we believe, Suitz captures UK life as it looks, feels and changes in real time.
A micro-trend can say as much about Britain as a manifesto. The death of the nightclub. The return of the skinny jean.
We follow the culture before it becomes the conversation. Fashion, beauty, nightlife, wellness, politics and the internet. To understand where Britain is going, look at what its young people wear, buy, question, and refuse to accept.
